18ct Victorian Pool of Light Orb Locket - Hand Painted 1868 and HA Monogram w/Box (Not Original)
I present to you, as formally available, this one-of-a-kind incredible pool of light Essex crystal locket.
Reverse carved and hand painted, this lovely little wonder is dated for the 9th of June in 1864. You can see it also bares the initials HGA/H&A in the most beautiful of fonts, also hand painted. Was this the birth of a child? A marriage? A divorce? Oh honestly that last one brings me joy imaging it as truth - though unlikely.
The beauty of this locket is that while one side is dated and comes with a monogram the other half is partially carved out. If you add your own photo the very nature of the stone will magnify it, thus making it easier to see. Alternatively you could place a dried flowers, or even gemstones in the compartment as a sacred memento.
It had taken me quite a little while to find a suitable box to go with this Essex Crystal Locket, but boy, did I ever find it. What you see is what you get, the box is included in the sales price.
